Sara Takini

Sara Takini is a registered Psychologist and Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner providing evidence-based psychological services via telehealth across Australia. She supports clients through Medicare, private practice, and WorkCover/CTP, offering flexible and accessible online therapy for children, adolescents, adults and families.

Sara has extensive experience working with NDIS participants, particularly children and young people with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, anxiety, trauma-related presentations, and complex behavioural challenges. She delivers positive behaviour support, functional behaviour assessments, and personalised intervention plans aimed at improving emotional regulation, social skills, and overall quality of life.

With a strong clinical background gained in both Iran and Australia, Sara brings valuable cross-cultural insight to her practice. She is fluent in both English and Farsi (Persian), enabling her to effectively support culturally and linguistically diverse clients, including the Iranian and Persian-speaking community through telehealth services.

In addition to her private practice work, Sara is employed by the NSW Department of Education as a Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner and psychologist. In this role, she supports schools to manage complex student behaviours, enhance engagement, and implement evidence-informed strategies within educational settings. She works collaboratively with teachers, school leaders and families to promote positive learning environments and student wellbeing.
