Dr Reza Nejad

Dr Reza Nejad is a registered clinical psychologist in Adelaide with the Psychology Board of Australia, holding clinical endorsement and recognition as a board-approved supervisor through AHPRA, with over 25 years of experience. He provides evidence-based psychological support for individuals, couples, and families, both in-person and via online therapy.

Dr Nejad holds a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Adelaide, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in psychology. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the School of Psychology, University of Adelaide, supervising placements, research projects, and coursework seminars. He is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Psychologists.

Internationally trained in Spain, Belgium, and the USA, Dr Nejad is accredited in a broad range of contemporary and evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia. He has extensive experience across mental health services in Australia and the USA and provides professional support for a wide range of mental health concerns. He has a strong research background in mental health, continues to supervise postgraduate students, and provides expert reviews for scientific publications in his field.

Outside of work, Dr Nejad enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching films, and following soccer.  He is empathetic, caring, and values the therapeutic relationship, providing a safe, professional, and supportive environment for his clients. He believes that positive change is always possible and focuses on helping clients reach their personal goals.
